The Accu Dyne 4-Pen Set (36–42 dynes/cm) is engineered for routine surface energy verification of corona-treated polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and flexible packaging films. This focused dyne range allows fast, reliable in-line quality control in flexographic printing, laminating, and converting operations.

By concentrating on the most commonly required surface energy levels for print adhesion (38–42 dynes/cm), this set provides practical, production-ready verification without the need for a full-range kit.

How It Works

Each marker contains reagent-grade dyne test fluid and features a spring-loaded valve tip that isolates stored fluid from the applicator. When pressed firmly against the substrate:

• Fresh testing solution is dispensed

• The tip self-cleans to prevent contamination

• Surface energy is determined by observing film formation vs. beading

If the fluid remains as a continuous film for approximately 2 seconds, the substrate surface energy meets or exceeds that dyne level.
